International Conference: “What the Leader Foresees for Construction Law in Peru and the Region”

On September 17 and 18, 2025, the International Conference “What the Leader Foresees for Construction Law in Peru and the Region” was held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of NPG Abogados.

The event brought together renowned national and international experts in Construction Law, who shared their experience and insights on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector across the region.

The conference was inaugurated by Sir Vivian Ramsey, former judge of the High Court and the Technology and Construction Court of England and Wales (2007–2010), and currently an international arbitrator and judge at the Singapore International Commercial Court, who delivered the keynote speech.

Distinguished speakers included Benito Zelaya, Managing Partner at Lexincorp Honduras; Marco Lino López, Attorney at Bufete de la Energía y Construcción – Costa Rica; Richard Bailey, Partner at Druces – United Kingdom; Jerry Brodsky, Founder of Jerry Brodsky Legal – USA; Fernando Marcondes, Partner at MAMG Advogados – Brazil; Jaya Sharma, 4N Consultants – USA; Juan Pablo Halpern, Partner at Clyde & Co. – Chile; Joseph Moore, Partner at Hanson Bridgett – USA; and Gabrielle María del Monte, former officer at IFAD – Italy, among other distinguished professionals.

Throughout the two-day event, the specialists addressed the main challenges facing the construction industry in Peru and Latin America, as well as emerging trends in contract management, arbitration, and technology.

The conference was consolidated as a space for reflection, analysis, and learning, where participants shared experiences, tools, and landmark cases that are shaping best practices in the legal management of infrastructure projects.
