Lawyer from the Universidad Centroamericana UCA, with postgraduate studies in Construction Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a specialization in Construction Law from the Universidad Privada de Ciencias Aplicadas in Peru. She holds a Master's degree in Commercial and Investment Arbitration from the Universidad de Alcalá, Spain, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Civil Liability and Damages at the Universidad de los Andes, Chile.
Furthermore, she has received training in the use of FIDIC 2017 Contracts, a Workshop in the Administration of Dispute Boards, and the Efficient Conduct of International Construction Arbitrations.
Prior to joining NPG, she was a senior associate in the projects area at an international firm in Chile; additionally, she was the regional director in the litigation area of a firm in Central America.
She has experience in contract management in construction projects and experience in preparing claims for extensions of time in the context of the pandemic, as well as the collection of additional or extraordinary works, and claims for associated costs. In this context, she has advised several companies in negotiations with state institutions within the framework of disputes associated with construction litigation.
Also, she has been a legal advisor in administrative sanctioning processes brought against contractors before institutions such as the Comptroller General's Office and the General Directorate of State Contracting, in Contentious-Administrative processes, Petition for Judicial Protection, and Illegality.
Likewise, in the field of her specialty in arbitration and construction, she has participated in arbitral litigation in complex disputes associated with serial defects in wind farms, solar energy projects, and disputes associated with delays attributable to the principal or concurrent delays, in hydroelectric projects, building, highways, potable water network design projects, and Riverbank Defenses.
